World Of Warcraft and other forms of escapism

I can't believe I haven't posted since August. It's Now January 2006 and August seems worlds away. I am with my brother on the issue about resolutions not meaning as much in the middle of the year as they do on the first day of a new year. We somehow convince ourselves that a clean slate is possible ignoring all the times we have failed in the past. I myself made resolutions in my head weeks ago, and haven't kept a single one except "drink more water" which is probably only because these last weeks of pregnancy are making my ankles swell up twice their normal size and water should somehow miraculously help with that. It is not a new year's resolution of mine to post here or anything like that because honestly I tend to make resolutions I might actually keep. I only posted today out of shere boredom-I have already checked our bank account, cnn, and email. I am actually waiting on the WoW patch to finish downloading so I found myself with more than a few minutes to spare. I am aware that since I only post once in 4 months nobody I know reads this anymore-just accidental viewings by total strangers once in awhile- but I still feel the need to update a little by way of a list in case a family member or friend stumbles by out of "when will she update her blog?" type curiosity.

1. My daughter is doing well, but poor baby had a stomach virus on Christmas morning and it was like 10:00 that night before she had actually finished opening all her presents. She is 4, she is talking more and more everyday and her speech therapy seems to be helping her a lot-she also seems to suck her thumb less which is probably contributing to her success. She loves toast sandwiches, singing along with her lazy town and kid songs cd's, and playing tag.
2. My son is due in mid February, but because I will have a c-section, it will be early February when he arrives. I have developed gestational diabetes, and have cut back on sugar considerably so he won't weigh like 12 pounds. I am scared to have another c-section, but can't wait to meet our new family addition.
3. My husband bought me lots of pretty things for Christmas, and has been taking care of our guinea pig(which he never even wanted) while I have been pregnant. I am trying to figure out how to get him to help more with housework particularly while I am pregnant, but I haven't a clue. He has a job interview in Los Angeles next week and even if he doesn't get the job I am proud of him for making it that far in his career.
4. I am hanging in there, pregnancy has increased my anxiety so much, but hopefully once my boy is here I will begin to feel better again. There is a shower for me at Church on Sunday night, and another shower next weekend. I just hope I get some pretty things and get to eat lots of white bread:)
